The First Steps
Our story began in 1990, when a young couple arrived in Spain from Argentina, eager to start a business. After their first experiences as traders, they travelled to Indonesia for the first time in 1993 to purchase silver jewellery. That same year, they presented their pieces for the first time at a Christmas market on Barcelona’s Gran Via.
In 1994, they made their first trip to Bangkok. Upon their return, they began travelling throughout Spain, visiting retailers and building their first network of professional clients.
Trade Fairs, Travel and Growth
In September 1995, we took part in our first wholesale trade fair in Barcelona and, a few months later, exhibited for the first time in Madrid. From then on, El Expreso de Oriente continued to grow through professional trade fairs in different countries and numerous business trips across Europe.
In 1999, we opened our first store for professional clients in the Boqueria area of Barcelona. Years later, we closed this space to focus our activity on wholesale, professional trade fairs and online sales.
Continuity and the Future
Over more than three decades, El Expreso de Oriente has evolved while always maintaining its commitment and close relationship with its clients. In 2021, the second generation of the family joined the company, ensuring the continuity of the project and bringing new momentum to the business.
Today, we continue to attend professional trade fairs in Spain and France, supporting clients who have trusted us for many years and building new relationships with the same dedication as when we first began.
